Where to Eat...

Breakfast

Tower Cafe- 1518 Broadway. It's actually a Mexican-Thai restaurant and bakery which opens regularly at 8 in the morning. A nice breakfast would be Mexicana Omelet which has black beans, sour cream, jack cheese and pico de gallo or New Mexico Blueberry Cornmeal Pancakes. The pancakes are big and sprinkled with blueberries.

Lunch

4th Street Grill, 400 L St.If you are craving for pasta, grilled dish or salad, then go to 4th Street Grill. The restaurant, which serves Californian cuisine, opens at 11 AM and features a bar, private rooms and non-smoking areas. You must try their Aged New York Steak Au Poivre. Totally delicious! You should also try the Chopped Cobb Salad. It's made from chicken breast, bacon, cucumber, avocado, tomatoes, cheddar cheese, blue cheese dressing and romaine.

Dinner

The Firehouse Restaurant- Old Sacramento. This place is actually one of the finest restaurants in Sacramento. If you want an elegant dining experience, then Firehouse is the place to be. It's a high class restaurant, which means they have this "No Necktie, No Service" policy. Expect a pricey three-course meal but if you don't mind spending a lot, then there is no problem. Try the Butter Pecan Prawns, Smoked Duck Salad and Wood-Roasted Salmon.

William Land Park: A simple walk in the park in Sacramento is totally romantic. There are over a hundred parks and among the loveliest is William Land Park. The view was so perfect! You can even play golf in William Land Park.

Afternoon

Shopping at Pavilions -Fair Oaks Blvd near Howe Avenue

Pavilions is a very elegant shopping center. You can find almost anything there like footwear, apparel, gifts and specialty shops. There are also great restaurants in Pavilions so when you get tired walking around and shopping for great items, you can eat at one of the restaurants and relax.

Evening

Old Sacramento: After dinner at The Firehouse, don't leave just yet. Ride a horse-drawn carriage and explore the streets of Old Sacramento. Actually, Old Sacramento is one romantic destination with upscale restaurants, shops and hotels.

Late Night

Embassy Suites- 100 Capitol Mall: This all-suite hotel near Old Sacramento is the perfect place to stay after a romantic Sacramento day. They serve a complimentary breakfast and have other amenities like indoor heated pool, high-speed internet access, fitness room and whirlpool to name a few.
