| Taking a road trip to Sacramento is a great way to kick off any summer travel plans. Located in the northern part of California, Sacramento has many landmarks, history and fun places for visitors of all ages to enjoy. Get ready, pack your bags, get some gas and lets take a drive through California into Sacramento. There are so many different places in Sacramento that it all depends of what kind of experience you and your group want to have. There are some key places that I always try to tell friends and family to go to when visiting Sacramento. The downtown section of Sacramento is very rich with history. If you want to take a journey back to when this town first came into place, downtown is the place to do it. There are many different museums and exhibitions in the downtown area. In Old Sacramento you find scenery straight from Bonanza. Best way to travel this part of town is to get on a horse and carriage. This is a very pleasant afternoon activity for everyone. If you are with your family and want to go to a place that has games, food and fun, Scandia Family Fun Center is the place. There are bumper cars, miniature golf, batting cages, and all kinds of arcade games. Younger travelers love visiting this place. Get lost for a day with your family at a good old theme park. Sacramento is a great city to visit when traveling in California, Some places that you should try and visit while in the city are the California Railroad Museum, Sacramento Zoo, and the Capitol building. Near Sacramento you will find the cities of Davis, San Francisco, Santa Rosa and even the beautiful Lake Tahoe. Stop at one of these wonderful California cities while on your road trip and discover why people love not only living in, but also visiting California. |
