My Perfect Weekend... |
|
| On a recent business trip to Sacramento, I decided I wanted to know more about the city. I decided to stay for the weekend and explore the town. I had breakfast first at the Tower Cafe where they serve delicious breakfast on a beautiful patio. I first visited Old Sacramento, where I walked everywhere. The place is home to many riverfront restaurants, shops, museums and even night spots. Still, a lot of Old Sacramento can be seen in there. I also enjoyed the Hysterical Walk a Ghost Tour offered from March through November. I had lunch at the Firehouse Restaurant. They serve delicious Vegetarian Risotto Primavera. I spent the rest of the day shopping and just exploring the town The next day, I visited the Old Towns of Sacramento which includes Folsom, Fair Oaks, Rose-ville and Elk Grove to find out more about the city and to have some idea of what life was like back then. Some of the interesting spots include the Oaks Hardware store, where purchases are rung up on an old-fashioned cash register, rusty antiques shops on Sutter Street in Folsom. Exploring Sacramento, especially its Old Towns was a truly educational and fun experience! |
